  • As a newborn wants of nothing more than love, live each day with meaning. As a child questions the why of life, know that you can fulfill the desires of the heart.
  • As a youth has the tatse of success, strive toward your goals.
  • As an adult sifts through failures to learn from mistakes, listen quietly to the still voice inside. WISDOM is what propels you toward your destiny.

The Pumpkin Patch October 2005

The Pumpkin Patch. This was the neatest place to get in the mood for the fall in TEXAS. Since Texas doesn't see much of a seasonal change we have to grab everything we can... The Pumpkin Patch in Flowermound had tons of pumpkins, music, hayrides and even the petting zoo for the kids. The Pumpkin Patch is a Christian Community Action so it's free. You can purchase pumpkins and gourds which is fun becuase the 1oo's they have you can see the kids go pick the one, that stands out special to them. Lanna found her's :) ... Lauren, Kenslee, Myself, Lanna, Beth and Matt are ready for the hayride warm weather and all. I love fall and being able to go where there is orange all around and music in the air.. This can be perfect for the starting of the season... Check it out!! http://flowermoundpumpkinpatch.com/home.html

Tricia turns 50 SO CHICAGO WE GO!!

It's only once in a lifetime you turn 50, and the thought of getting close to that 50 mark is scary and once you hit it, its downhill from there... So to make 50 happy and fun I took Tricia to Chicago for the day.. Yes just for one day.. August 14, 2006. Up early in the morning and then back that same day.
The weather was rainy but nothing was going to get in our way. What a different way of life in Chicago. Buses, Trollies, and the Subway is the way of commuting.
Navy Pier was where we shopped and spent most of our time. And Bubba Gumps was the Great Meal for the day. My sister is my best friend and I love her dearly. This is a day I will never forget and I know she won't either... Muah Sis!!

Happy 4th 2005 at The Westend

The Outting to Westend was so enjoyable. It was the first time we really load them up and just go.. But we went in style, we rode the Texas T Train and we had so much fun.. Both being 8 months old they are just a whole lot of fun. We walked around westend and went and had a wonderful lunch laughing at these two together. This was a trip I just won't forget..

Have your Grandbabies FIRST!!! July 2005

As you read Glammy's Blog you will see the days I have the both of them. It's a sample of what a mother with twins my have. Each baby needs their own special attention. No matter how small their time with their grandmother is
SO IMPORTANT!! I loved all the times that were spent with mine. My mom's mom I called her PawPaw Nanny (because she had a PawPaw) took me to Woolworths Downtown on the bus. Woolworth's you ask??? (did you see my age)? Yes it was a fun place to shop. I remember going one time and riding down the escalator and looking down and seeing all these baby dolls. The smell of these plastic dolls was ummmm... I still love the smell today, because it brings back so many memories to me.. Then my dad's mom who I called Topper Nanny (she had a dog named Topper no pawpaw)I owe my creativity to. She taught me how to sew (I was actually better then my sewing teacher) :) how to cross stitch, embroidery, and crochet. The knitting wasn't my bag. This I had shared with my daughter who WOW!! makes the most amazing things crocheting.
So grandparents are a big part of your gran babies life and what an impact they play. They and teach things when maybe mom doesn't have time, or just because your grandchildren love that special time with you.. They have ALL your ATTENTION. Mine will know all I can I promise. They are each special in their own way. One loves to be healt the other one wants you to sing to them.. One loves peaches the other loves pears.. They are so different and treat them all in special ways. You will REAP many BLESSINGS.. you have only seen a few.. I have alot of catching up to do.. :)))

SplishSplash or SPLASH SPLASH!!!

BATH TIME!!!
Some of the most enjoyable times were giving the babies their bath... One in one sink and the other in the other sink and both with the ole' rubber ducky.. Rubber Ducky where's my Rubber Ducky? is a song I sang and I still sing today when it's bath time. I would pull out the bubble's bottle and blow bubbles watching the babies try to catch them.. The kitchen would be wet from one end to the other when it was bath time. Luke would start the splashing and Lanna would join in. You would be surprised how much mess two 8 month old babies can make with their little hands hitting the water...Make each moment special and fun.. because they are only babies for the moment...... Glammy loves each moment!!!
